The Founder
Dr Chembukkavu John George
Dr Chembukkavu John George MBBS, FRCS is an experienced British physician and surgeon with more than four decades of medical practice in the United Kingdom and internationally. Throughout his career, he has combined extensive clinical expertise with a strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
After qualifying in medicine in 1977, he obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1987. Dr George worked in India and Nigeria before moving to the United Kingdom in 1981. Over the following two decades, he served in a wide range of NHS hospitals across the country, gaining valuable experience in multiple surgical specialities including general surgery, Cardio thoracic surgery, urology, Orthopaedics. He also gained experience in treating patients with diverse medical needs.
In 2005, Dr George established his own independent medical practice in Rainham, Kent, which he successfully led until 2020. The practice was regulated first by the Healthcare Commission and later by the Care Quality Commission, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest professional and clinical standards. During this time, he developed a reputation for delivering personalised medical care, taking the time to understand each patient's concerns and providing clear, practical advice.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr George has extensive experience in medico-legal medicine, preparing independent medical reports for nearly two decades following specialist training with the Academy of Experts in London. He has also served as a medical adviser to the Benefits Agency Medical Services and worked as a medical officer within HM Prison Service, broadening his understanding of healthcare across a variety of settings.
Throughout his professional life, Dr George has been actively involved in medical leadership and advocacy. He represented doctors on the British Medical Association's Professional Fees Committee and served as Secretary of the Medway and Dartford Division of the British Medical Association. He contributed immensely to Malayali Medical Association of United Kingdom while holding the general Secretary position.
Dr George believes that excellent healthcare is built on trust, careful listening, thorough assessment, and clear communication. His aim has always been to provide patients with honest, thoughtful medical advice and treatment tailored to their individual circumstances.
Outside medicine, he enjoys writing, gardening, travelling, and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular fitness training. His longstanding commitment to health and wellbeing reflects the same principles he has encouraged throughout his medical career.
